Deep ruby red with inviting aromas of ripe cherry, dark berries and currants, layered with baking spice and subtle cocoa. The palate is rich and rounded, yet retains the characteristic freshness of Valpolicella, with supple tannins, concentrated red and dark fruit, and a lingering savoury, spiced finish. Predominantly Corvina, with Rondinella, Corvinone and other local varieties. Valpolicella wine that is re-fermented over the grape skins left from making Amarone or Recioto. This gives it greater body, richness, alcohol and complexity, with darker fruit, dried cherry, spice and chocolate notes.
