Some terrific Malbec is being made now in Australia, and this one from Pepper Tree's new Alternate range is a cracker. A delicious Wrattonbully red with loads of personality! Deep purple. Blackcurrant, plum, bay leaf, sage and black tea on the nose. Full-bodied, ripe and generous with black and purple fruit saturation throughout, with notes of leather and dried herbs, ferrous tannin foundation and toasty oak in support.
