A worthy successor to the benchmark 2013 vintage, it is winemaking’s closest equivalent to alchemy, displaying lifted lemon and honey aromas. The rich luscious palate is balanced with a cleansing natural acidity. Winemaker, Robert Black, lightly crushed and pressed the skins to release the prized golden syrup. After fermentation it was matured for 9 months using a mixture of older French oak hogsheads, then blended to add complexity. This wine will benefit from careful cellaring for the next 15 years.
