The 2016 '1827' Shiraz was produced using beautifully ripe fruit harvested from the Eurunderee Vineyard near Mudgee in the Central Ranges of NSW. Bunnamagoo's winemaker, Robert Black, fermented the parcel in closed strainless steel potters for 10 days on skins. Maturation occurred in a mixture of new and one year old French oak puncheons and large 500 gallon American oak vats. This outstanding vintage produced wine with dense colour and blackberry, mocha vanilla and sweet spice aromas. The palate is seamlessly integrated with fruit and oak.
This wine will suit cellar age for 15 years.
