The Bord family has been producing Loupiac wines from Chateau Jean Fonthenille for six generations. Today Lionel Bord is at the head of the winemaking team. Loupiac stands perfectly among hills that have been rounded off by erosion over billions of years with a deep limestone foundation and clay/gravel at the peak. This wine is a creamy and eminently-approachable dessert wine that has all those golden-fruit notes one appreciates in a sweet Bordeaux. Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has an aromatic, pronounced-intensity nose of dried apple, marmalade, apricot, lilac, honeysuckle, and white nectarine.
