A 100% Merlot. Totally opaque black dark red core with a very dark red hue. Lifted aromas of blackcurrant mix with hints of black cherry, black olive, and spicy cedar. Medium to full-bodied, rich blackcurrant fruits dominates the palate with some black cherry and licorice also evident. A sturdy backbone of firm tannins imparts a sense of chewiness to the mouthfeel. Excellent drive with a lengthy finish that has accents of scorched earth.
