The Frewer family established Jones Road vineyard in 1997. The maritime climate of the Mornington Peninsul, careful vineyard management and attention to detail in the winery, all combine to produce some of Australia's best cool-climate wines.
2016 will be remembered as one of the lowest yielding vintages for Pinot Noir in the Mornington region. The intensity of this wine reflects these low yields and ideal ripening conditions, which allow Pinot Noir to be harvested at optimal ripeness with incredible concentration of flavour and tannin. Whole berry fermentation with ambient yeasts has captured intensely fragrant dark cherry and spice characteristics as well as delivering a supple and vibrant palate with silky tannins and a fresh, long and flavoursome finish.
