The Wilkinson's were pioneers of the Hunter Valley, planting their first vines in 1866. The Hunter wine region is widely regarded as the birthplace of Australian winemaking and is renowned for its medium bodied reds and classic white wines.
The 2018 vintage was the earliest on record and delivered near perfect ripening conditions with the fruit being sourced from selected Semillon blocks from across the Hunter Valley.
This wine is lemon-green in colour and displays medium plus aromas of lemon, lime and green apple and some flintiness, which carry through on to the palate.The naturally high acidity gives this wine a refreshing and long, steely finish. Perfectly matched with fresh seafood dishes.
