KOVAL Distillery is owned and operated by Dr Robert Birnecker and Dr Sonat Birnecker, who founded the craft distillery in Chicago, Illinois in 2008. Through Kothe Distilling Technologies, Austrian-born Robert has helped launch over 190 craft distilleries across the globe while his high-powered professor and KOVAL president wife, Sonat, has led the brand’s marketing, product development and distribution, which finds them now exporting to 50+ markets around the globe. Koval Distillery Millet is 40% ABV and produced using millet, a popular grain in Africa and Asia, delivering a whiskey that's bright with aromas of vanilla and nuts, and dances across the palate for a light, clean finish.
